NORTH CAROLINA H.B. 1007 – License, State Boards of Cosmetology

Sponsor: Representative Jonathan Jordan (R)

Summary: Current version (6/16/2016): Provides that, in regards to the qualifications for a certificate as a registered barber, such person must have received a high school diploma or its equivalency or a high school graduation equivalency certificate and provided documentation thereof to the Board.

Provides that, in regards to the licensing and regulating barber schools and colleges no barber school or college shall be approved by the Board unless the school or college meets all of the following requirements, including each student shall have received a high school diploma or its equivalency or a high school graduation equivalency certificate and provided documentation thereof to the Board and the school.

Adds the State Board of Barber Examiners to the to be included under the Occupational licensing board.
